How to Apply to the Committee

    To be considered for admission to the committee on medical physics, a student must submit:

    1. completed application form: Apply ON-LINE to the Division of the Biological Sciences
    2. three letters of recommendation; letters of recommendation can now be submitted electronically
    3. official transcripts of all grades received in undergraduate study and in any previous graduate training;
    4. official reports of scores from the following Graduate Record Examinations:
      1. Verbal Aptitude
      2. Quantitative Aptitude
      3. Analytic Aptitude
      4. Advanced Test in Physics
    In addition, applicants are encouraged to submit any relevant supplementary information such as an undergraduate honors thesis or a master's thesis.

    Foreign applicants whose native language is not English and who have not studied at a U.S. college or university for more than one year must submit an official report of scores on the "Test of English as a Foreign Language" (TOEFL).

    Applications that include a request for financial aid in the - academic year must be received (with all supporting documentation) by December 1, . Applicants should ensure that all letters of recommendation, transcripts, and examination scores are received by the University before the appropriate date. The Graduate and Professional School Financial Aid Service (GPSFAS) application form must accompany requests for financial aid.

    Course offerings in the committee on medical physics are scheduled to meet the needs of students who begin their studies in the autumn quarter.
