I graduated from Harvard University in 1992 with a bachelor's
degree in physics. I entered the medical physics program here
at the University of Chicago under the advisorship of Dr. Robert
Nishikawa. My research is focused on detecting microcalcifications
in mammograms using computer-aided diagnosis schemes, but I am
interested in a wide variety of decision/detection problems, such
as estimating ideal-observer decision functions. I hail from
Hammonton, NJ, USA, which claims to be the "blueberry capital
of the world".
