After receiving a BA in physics from Grinnell College, I studied graduate physics for a year at Creighton University. While there I did research in biophysical optics on the wavelength dependence of photobleaching of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide in vitro during multiphoton microscopy. I entered the GPMP program in the Fall of 2007. My strongest interest lies in using my training as a physicist and basic scientific empiricism to answer clinically generated questions. Currently my research interests include using magnetic resonance imaging for clinically relevant cancer research.
